New Business

Post-Domras Hockey Game

Scott reiterated information about the Ghost Pirates game after Domras Cup. Currently we do not have the number of participants needed for the group tickets. It will be open to the membership soon but concerns were raised about cleanup, especially bringing chairs back in a timely manner to allow everyone to attend the game. Certain items cannot be left exposed in a parking lot. It was suggested that a checklist be made to make sure that we are completing all cleaning tasks before heading to the game. Some members were also in support of offering free tickets for those who will nstay later to finsh clearing things out of the warehouse.

Committee Discussion

Dave’s Updates

The build-out for the outdoor beer garden is starting and will eventually be converted to a separated bar. An autmoated canning operation will be purchased this month. A cherry cordial dessert beer was brewed today and will be ready in about two weeks. There are plans to purchase another fermenter. The Irish Red will be available on tap at O’Connell’s and Wexford.

Treasurer’s Report

Gene gave his report to the members which included the general budget and the Domras Cup 2025 budget.

Barrel Committee

  • Barrel 1 – The Duchesse Red will be brewed for this barrel. Henry will have grains/hops/yeast available to pick up next Friday for $40 (per 5 gallon batch). Participants need to let him know whether you want it milled or unmilled. The barrel will be filled shortly after the New Year.
  • Barrel 2 – Lambic – This is significantly lacking character and is watered down. John E. will mash high with a cheap malt, add 5 gllons to the barrel along with more bacteria, and let it go for three more months.

Merch

  • Bridge Run Shirts – John E. has the shirts for pickup.
  • John E. spoke with the shop that made the Bridge Run shirts about Domras Cup merchandise. They partnered with a company in NC and are able to host a website where people can order shirts and other merchandise. It would cost $10 per month to maintain and we could have a link to the store on our website. The orders would go through the company and would be available at bulk order prices. They can either be picked up at the shop or shipped.
